YOUR SCHOOL, YOUR RULES.
School spirit represents a critical part of school culture. It reflects the level to which students feel: connected to their school, proud to represent their school, and compelled to get involved in school sports, clubs, and activities. Spirit unifies. It fosters a sense of belonging. That's why Generation Spirit creates school-based spirit teams that bring together students with and without disabilities in equal measure and on equal footing.
Your Generation Spirit team will reshape your school’s culture to one where every member feels valued and celebrated, not in spite of but because of their differences. You’ll create a community where showing up for each other becomes the norm and connection is valued over perfection.
No experience on a traditional cheer/dance/spirit team? No problem. In truly spirited schools, all students participate in raising school spirit and all students feel supported by the school community. In other words: everyone needs a cheerleader and anyone can be a cheerleader. Some of our teams operate like a traditional cheer or dance team, while others are more like a pep club (still grounded in school spirit, but much more flexible in the approach).
When you join Generation Spirit, we'll help you develop a spirit strategy that suits the unique needs of your school community.
When was the last time there was a pep rally for the debate team? How about the drama department? Organize a rally to pump up your peers before their big moment.
A little acknowledgment can go a long way in helping your peers feel supported. Pick a group or team that needs some love and go all in with banners and locker signs.
Is a team or club within your school heading to a big event? Organize a send-off to set them up for success and show your support.
Surprise a student, teacher or staff member by decorating their locker/classroom door. Don't forget to leave a note to let them know they're valued and appreciated.
At Generation Spirit, we provide all of our services cost-free. That's right. In the relationship between Generation Spirit and your school, all resources flow in one direction: from us to you.

"BEING WELCOMED ON A PERFORMANCE STAGE IS ONE THING, BUT BEING ACCEPTED IN THE SCHOOL HALLWAYS IS DIFFERENT. BECAUSE OUR STUDENTS HAVE AN AUDIENCE, THEY'VE BECOME KNOWN BY THEIR PEERS."
