School spirit represents a critical part of school culture. It reflects the level to which students feel: connected to their school, proud to represent their school, and compelled to get involved in school sports, clubs, and activities. Spirit unifies. It fosters a sense of belonging. That's why Generation Spirit creates school-based spirit teams that bring together students with and without disabilities in equal measure and on equal footing.
Your Generation Spirit team will reshape your school’s culture to one where every member feels valued and celebrated, not in spite of but because of their differences. You’ll create a community where showing up for each other becomes the norm and connection is valued over perfection.
No experience on a traditional cheer/dance/spirit team? No problem. In truly spirited schools, all students participate in raising school spirit and all students feel supported by the school community. In other words: everyone needs a cheerleader and anyone can be a cheerleader. Some of our teams operate like a traditional cheer or dance team, while others are more like a pep club (still grounded in school spirit, but much more flexible in the approach).

RALLY
When was the last time there was a pep rally for the debate team? How about the drama department? Organize a rally to pump up your peers before their big moment.
celebrate
A little acknowledgment can go a long way in helping your peers feel supported. Pick a group or team that needs some love and go all in with banners and locker signs.
SEND-OFF
Is a team or club within your school heading to a big event? Organize a send-off to set them up for success and show your support.
SURPRISE
Surprise a student, teacher or staff member by decorating their locker/classroom door. Don't forget to leave a note to let them know they're valued and appreciated.

mentoring
When you're ready to get started, fill out our intake form. We will reach out within 48 hours to guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your Generation Spirit team.
Throughout our highly personalized onboarding process, you will also receive access to a comprehensive toolkit of resources to build a strong, robust and sustainable team.
